"My goal with Elevate Volleyball is to spark a renewed love for the game in our community, empowering young athletes to reach their full potential and develop skills that go beyond the court."
Volleyball has been a constant in my life, taking me from high school to club, through university, and now into coaching. Growing up in Lakeland, I’ve seen firsthand how a sport like volleyball can shape young lives, building skills, discipline, and resilience. Over the past 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of competing at various levels—from winning a 3A high school provincial championship to playing competitive club volleyball, and eventually reaching the university level in the U.S., where I earned All-Conference honors and academic recognition. Balancing sport and academics helped me become a well-rounded athlete, and my experiences taught me the value of hard work, dedication, and creating a structured, growth-oriented environment.
With a Bachelor’s degree in Business and NCCP certification, I founded Elevate Volleyball to bring this same growth-focused approach back to young athletes in Lakeland. My vision is to create a welcoming, challenging space where players of all skill levels can build their game and grow in confidence. Every session is personalized to each player’s strengths and goals, focusing not only on technical skills but also on mental resilience, teamwork, and the power of a supportive environment.
As a coach, I’m always learning, staying current with coaching certifications, and actively competing in high-level leagues. Volleyball isn’t just something I teach; it’s something I live, and I continue to compete in local and high-level tournaments to stay connected to the sport and deepen my knowledge. Along the way, volleyball has connected me with people across Canada, the U.S., and even Mexico. The sport has brought incredible friendships and memories into my life, including my partner, whom I met through co-ed volleyball.
Elevate Volleyball is more than just a training program to me; it’s my way of giving back to the community that shaped me. I want this to be a place where athletes feel inspired, supported, and excited to push their limits—both on and off the court. By volunteering my time to support local programs and fund local tournaments, I’m committed to making volleyball accessible and meaningful for young players in Lakeland.
At Elevate Volleyball, true progress happens when athletes are challenged in a positive, growth-focused setting. I’m passionate about building well-rounded players who embrace hard work, connect with others, and leave with skills they can carry for life. This program is my way of nurturing the next generation of athletes, helping them to reach their full potential and build confidence that lasts well beyond the court.
